Stephany Vargas

Stephany Vargas is an Associate at Blue Star Strategies SAS, serving clients in Paris, France and Brussels, Belgium. Prior to joining the firm, Stephany worked at a public affairs and strategic communications agency in Brussels. She helped clients to unravel the European political system; to finetune strategies and to translate these into effective messages.

Stephany has worked at the City Hall of Quito, her hometown, where she gained insights into the decisional process behind public policymaking by dealing with issues related to social housing and public transportation. Later, she joined the global public affairs team of a French pharmaceutical company, where she supported the design of public affairs strategies and their implementation at the Member State level.

Eager to understand the interaction between public institutions and the private sector when developing public policy, Stephany decided to develop a multidisciplinary background. First, she pursued an M.A. in International Economics and Politics at Charles University in Prague and in SciencesPo Paris, which was then complemented with an M.A. in International Business Management at Sorbonne University in Paris.

Stephany enjoys traveling, reading and cooking. She speaks English, French, some German and her native Spanish.
