Lavinia Busdon is an Associate at Blue Star Strategies SAS, serving clients in Paris, France and Brussels, Belgium. Lavinia’s experience includes working for the Head of Cabinet of the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Diplomatic Counselor of the French Ministry of Environment, and the Regional Council of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the largest administrative region in France. She also worked at the Institute for Economic Relations between France and Italy in Paris, France to develop economic relations between the two countries.

Lavinia completed a double Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Political Sciences from the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) of Bordeaux, France where she focused on European decision-making processes and politics and from the University of Turin, Italy with a focus on East-Asian studies. She also completed a post- graduate Master’s degree in EU External Relations at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.

Convinced that the European project needs to reach out to people who are not in contact with politics or the institutions of the EU, she works pro-bono for 89 Initiative, the first pan-European think-do tank that creates dialogue between EU citizens and experts.

Born in Italy and raised between Italy and France, Lavinia is fluent in Italian, French, English, and is learning Mandarin Chinese.
