Diane Thomas is an Associate at Blue Star Strategies SAS, serving clients in Paris, France and Brussels, Belgium.

Prior to joining the firm, Diane worked for Member of European Parliament Mariya Gabriel of Bulgaria, including assisting her campaign for EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society. Diane’s parliamentary experience gave her in-depth knowledge of European decision-making processes and politics as well as understanding of migration policies and digital economy issues.

Previously, Diane worked for several European private sector associations focusing on the rights of migrants and refugees. Her experience includes working at an absorption center for asylum seekers in the district of Friedrichshain in Berlin, Germany and providing support services to migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers at the French association La Cimade.

Diane graduated from the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) of Strasbourg, France with a Master’s degree in European Policies and Public Affairs and did a one-year Erasmus exchange at the political studies department of Freie Universität Berlin in Germany, where she focused on European policies and cooperation between member states in matters of migration and gender studies.

A passionate dancer, runner, and international traveler, Diane speaks English, German, and her native French.
